The old and imposing Spanish City Bridge has remained strong and firm since it was built in 1910. Connecting the commercial center of the city to the main thoroughfare, traversing the Panay River,
the bridge is a silent witness to various changes that ushered in progress and development in the city. Like the old bridge, equally alluring is the huge stretch of the Panay River
that traverses the very heart of the city. For this, Roxas City has been dubbed as the "Venice of the Visayas"

SAN ANTONIO
Now let's go to some resort!!
It started as a dream to share Baybay beach as a resort for people who would like to have a day “away from it all”, a day of fun with a little swimming, a little eating, a little eating..a day of casual luxury; but decidedly a load of satisfaction and relaxation. The dream came into fruition in 2005 when Casa Felisa hotel was opened to the public. It was what the Ortiz family dubbed as a bridal suite complemented with a hall for social functions and conferences and with some bowling lanes for bowling enthusiasts.
Today, the quaint resort has been renamed San Antonio Resort. A resort with 50 simple yet elegantly designed rooms and suites. Spanning almost seven hectares of tree lined, meticulously groomed tropical gardens overlooking the scenic Baybay Beach, the resort offers the convenience of both the modern amenities and the charms of nature.
There are five restaurants and bars that are sure to satisfy our guest’s palate. From Chica – Chica Restaurant, with its delicious homemade pastas and pizzas, to Sandbar with their quaint beachside cabaƱas, the perfect place to catch the sunset while enjoying a drink, and to Kainan Village, with its open air food stalls, San Antonio Resort offers a variety of dining options. The Pool Bar offers snacks and light meals, whereas, serious dining is to be had at Lakehouse 3 with its Asian and seafood cuisines. And since Roxas City is the seafood capital of the country, yes, there is seafood galore.
Accredited as an AA resort by the Department of Tourism, the resort’s location is quiet and exclusive, yet still very accessible to the city center, only 3 kilometers away. San Antonio Resort takes pride in providing quality customer service and continues to strive to meet the expectations of the most discriminating guest.
Welcome and experience San Antonio Resort! Your leisure and business by the beach.

MANTALINGA ISLAND
Nearby Mantalinga island which is a kilometer away from the shoreline of Baybay beach has been identified as an ideal diving spot for scuba divers and a perfect rotunda for sailboat (dilayag) and kayaking contests.
Recently nicknamed “Good Luck Island” by tourism consultants, the place is believed to be a source of luck for local fisherfolk. They write the names of their fishing boats on the side of the island before they set out to sea for the first time.
As you can see in the picture below you can see the "MANTALINGA ISLAND" from the coast of bay bay beach..

BAY BAY BEACH
One of the sites to see in Roxas City is Baybay Beach. It is just three kilometers away from the city circle. The place is a favorite weekend spot for the local populace and those coming from nearby towns and provinces.
Considered a “must not miss” spot in Roxas City, Baybay beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. It has a seven-kilometer stretch of sugar-fine, glittery, ebony sand. The water sometimes washes up to the shore a substance known as “margaha” to the locals, which is fine iron particles that an ordinary magnet can pick up and collect!
